Business Coalition Launches Ad Campaign
Targeting House Health Care Bill
Leading Trade Associations Form "Employers for a Healthy Economy"
WASHINGTON, DC-A new coalition of leading employer associations representing hundreds of thousands of businesses of all sizes from all 50 states and nearly every sector of the economy today launched a nationwide advertising campaign targeting the health care bill in the House of Representatives. The coalition warns in a new ad, "Millions," that the House health care reform proposal could wipe out even more jobs, raise costs, and put employers' and employees' current health care benefits at risk.
"Employers for a Healthy Economy strongly supports health care reform that lowers costs and provides access to health care for millions of Americans," said Blair Latoff, Coalition Spokesperson. "However, the pending legislation will only drive up costs and further imperil our nation’s economy."

“MILLIONS”:
Announcer: Millions of lost jobs.
The highest unemployment in twenty-five years.
And Congress' latest health care bill makes a tough economy worse.
Over five hundred billion in crushing tax increases.
But nothing to control rising health care costs.
Expensive new mandates on business that could wipe out even more jobs.
Call Congress.
Tell them the new health care bill is a bill America can't afford to pay.
The ad will air on national cable and in 19 states including Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
